System 7500® Electrosurgical Generator with ABC® Technology

 

Advances in surgical technology allow physicians to bring the art of surgery to new levels. Argon Beam Coagulation leverages the power of electrosurgery with new energy-delivery technology to create rapid hemostasis and significant reductions in blood loss and OR time. The sparking you see when using standard electrosurgery is the result of a voltage differential between the patient and active electrode. As high frequency energy arcs through the air it denatures tissues but also creates thermal artifacts of up to 210 degrees C.

Like standard electrosurgery, ABC also delivers energy to the target tissues but instead of arcing through the air the energy ionizes a column of Argon gas directed at the tissues.

This energy delivery technology produces significant clinical advances.

  • The moving column of Argon moves any pooled blood off of the bleeding tissues to allow coagulation to take place directly on the tissue surface.

  • It reduces the likelihood of creating an eschar cap which may float

  • The resulting coagulation, then, is more secure and less prone to result in complications later on.

By using room temperature Argon to convey the therapeutic energy to the tissues, you significantly reduce the thermal artifact created by the coagulation. The results are:

  • A thin, pliable, layer of coagulation, that is

  • Securely anchored to the target tissues,

The proprietary Smart Sense Intelligence System built into the Endo mode detects probes with smaller diameters and instantly adjusts gas and power levels to provide optimal performance.

  • Smart Sense also monitors the Argon gas flow and will instantly shut down the gas flow when it detects an occlusion or will reduce the gas/power levels when it detects a partial occlusion in the Automatic Mode. This is a major advancement in eliminating the risks of introducing a gas embolism. No other Argon System provides the benefits of the Smart Sense system.

ExcaliburPlus PC®

The ExcaliburPlus PC® is the most powerful Isolated ESU on the market with 10,000V PTP in Spray COAG. It is the only ESU that allows the surgeon to adjust power settings from the surgical field with a standard ES pencil. Excalibur Plus PC® Patented Controlled Output Voltage™ in CUT maintains minimum necessary voltage for smooth cutting through various impedance tissues with minimal thermal damage.

The Excalibur Plus PC® offers a scalpel like cut and three blend modes.

  • Pure Cut Maximum Peak to Peak Voltage is 2000 Volts.

  • Blend 1 - Maximum Peak to Peak Voltage is 2000 Volts.

  • Blend 3 - The Excalibur Plus PC® comes equiped with the maximum Peak to Peak Voltage of 2400. Safety: The Aspen Return Monitor (ARMŮ) o ARM is the most sensitive pad monitoring system available. It combines automatic feedback circuitry and visual displays to provide the most sensitive contact quality monitoring system available today. ARMŮ Continuously monitors the safety of the Monitoring patient to ground System pad interface with a dual foil ground pad. Disarms the ESU and alerts the staff if a pad fault condition occurs. ARM Operates in a preset Safety range of 10-150 Ohms. Once the Pad is placed and the resistance is measured this measurement is set. If the patient's impedance level should either increase by 20% or fall out of the preset safety range, ARM will alarm and disarm the ESU. The Assist Bar Graph provides a visual Alarm Set Point and eliminates the possibility of pad site burns attributable to machine error.

Sabre® 2400

 

The Sabre 2400® provides the surgeon with high power performance and key user features to meet today's demanding electrosurgical needs. 9000 volts Peak to Peak in the Coag mode and 300 watts of Pure Cutting Power make the Sabre® 2400 an ideal general-purpose electrosurgical generator.

Performance
The Sabre® 2400 is designed to meet the broadest range of surgeonĂs performance needs in demanding surgical applications . Thermal damage free cutting is no problem with the Sabre 2400, with its patented Controlled Output Voltage in the CUT Mode. As the Electrosurgical electrode glides through different tissue types in the CUT Mode, The Sabre® 2400 constantly adjusts the voltage to provide superior cutting performance. Surgeons can also use the Blend mode to achieve greater hemostasis while cutting.

Auto Spray feature provides superior spray coagulation at power settings above 50 watts.
